Ready for something new? Try "transfer photographs," the unique artwork style of March guest artist, Noelle Dersé. Noelle creates her artwork by applying pen and ink to slides and photo negatives, then "transferring" the image to paper. The result is a unique combination of picture and artwork.

Noelle is a Juneau resident, drawn into her preferred medium by a family history of travel and photography. Her latest work features images of far-flung parts of the world, from France to Mongolia to Africa, based on pictures taken by family members decades ago. Come see how Noelle has applied a modern artistic vision to these historic images & maybe even take a peice of her work home for your living room.

Or maybe you're ready for something fun? Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is just that! Once again, we will be hiding eggs throughout the gallery, and everyone who visits during First Friday will have the opportunity to find one egg. Inside each egg is a special prize. You could find Easter candy, a gift certificate, a special offer, or something else fun! Everyone comes away a winner in this fun egg hunt... Customers tell us this is one of their favorite events at Annie Kaill's each year. Did we mention the egg hunt is fun???

Our webmaster has been busy this month, rolling out an exciting new look for the website and updating artist catalogs with new releases for 2008. Three artists recently released new prints for 2008.

Byron Birdsall, an icon in Alaskan art, released new prints including "City of Moose and Flowers," shown here. Byron's watercolors feature images of Alaskan landscapes and wildlife and have been a staple of Last Frontier living rooms for decades.

Sherri McDonald is one of our newest artists at Annie Kaill's. Sherri's original artworks are created by layering hundreds of pieces of paper and fibers into a complex collage. After a very successful first year showing her work in 2007, we are happy to present Sherri's newest prints, including "All Clear," shown here.

Mark Kelley is quite possibly Juneau's best-known photographer. Formerly the photojournalist for the local newspaper, Mark now freelances full-time and releases prints and calendars each year. Prints feature a variety of local images including glaciers, outdoor activities, wildlife and scenery. Shown here is one of Mark's new prints, "Bucareli Bay Moon."
