Asha Falcon
An honors graduate of the California College of Art, Asha first came to Juneau in 1978. Her paintings are influenced by the Personal Art Movement, whose aesthetic informed several visual, musical and literary movements throughout the early 1990s. Asha's pencil, ink and watercolor paintings have been shown at local restaurants, the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council, and several galleries including Annie Kaill's.

While Asha's visual work has attracted a folllowing among local art collectors, she is also recognized within the Alaskan arts community as a poet, actor and illustrator. Her poetry has been published nationally in the Santa Barbara Review and We magazines, as well as the Calyx, Dancing Muse, Ellipsis and Free Lunch journals. She is a regular performer with Juneau's Theatre in the Rough and Perseverance Theater, and her illustrations of the White Frog Clan Story, a Tlingit legent adapted by Hans Chester, are pending publication.

Several paintings from Asha's upcoming opening and a past show are presented below. Asha's newest paintings were featured in an exclusive showing at Annie Kaill's in October 2007.
